Case Studies

Patient 1

This patient is a full mouth rehabilitation case. He came to me in pain with generalized broken teeth, decay and worn teeth from bruxism.

He disliked his smile and didn’t know where to begin.

Due to the above-mentioned conditions, and chief complaints we decided the best treatment option was full mouth crowns and veneers and dental implants to replace missing teeth. Coordinating appointments with multiple specialists we are restoring his teeth to ideal form and function as well as aesthetics.

We are in the process of completing the lower arch.

So far, we love the results.

Patient 2

He came to me with removable upper and lower dentures that were less than ideal in form and function. He could not wear his lower denture due to poor fit and minimal retention.

His chief goals: “I want to be able to smile again and eat without my dentures falling out”.

We knew the best option to achieve both his goals were All On 4 dental implants. Four implants were placed in the upper jaw and four implants in the lower jaw (total of eight implants).

In this situation I like to complete two sets of fixed dentures. One set is delivered the day of surgery when the implants are placed and the second set four to six months post-surgery. By doing this you get two major benefits,

  1. You get to leave from surgery with fixed dentures (No more glue!!).
  2. You get to wear, and test drive the interim dentures before fabrication of the final set. We can make any changes to the design and fit we need. This gives you complete control during the process.

This is a major upgrade from many offices that only give you one set.

There are multiple options for semifixed to permanently fixed dentures that can give you beauty and function. I would love to talk in person about all the options.

Patient 3

This patient came to me with a chief complaint of, “my midline is not straight and I’m starting to develop a lisp”. We decided best way to correct her problem and match to existing porcelain restorations was to replace six upper crowns canine to canine.

She wore temporary crowns for about 3 weeks of the proposed new design while the lab fabricated the new Emax Porcelain crowns. We delivered Emax Crowns HT BL2.

The final product turned out beautiful. We also made her a new retainer after treatment to assure her teeth do not move. This is always recommended with any cosmetic case.

Patient 4

This patient came to me with a chief complaint: “I don’t usually smile, and I want to again with confidence”.

She presented with dark, worn, and chipped teeth. We wanted to close the spaces between her teeth and restore them to ideal size and shape. Initial appointment included x-rays, pictures, and diagnostic records. We created a custom design for her new smile and were able to give her a mock try-in to visualize the change. This was perfect for this case as we realized with the mock try-in the first design the teeth were too long. She wanted a natural looking smile that fit her face. She wore temporary veneers of the proposed design for 3 weeks while the lab fabricated her Porcelain Veneers. We placed 8 Emax Veneers HT BL4 and the results turned out beautiful.

Patient 5

This patient came to me before her wedding wanting a beautiful new smile before one of the most important (and photographed) days of her life.

She presented with stained bonding on her front teeth.

Porcelain veneers were proposed for the following reasons.

  1. Porcelain is color stable (will stay white longer) as compared to bonding, where you see overtime, it absorbs stain.
  2. She did not like the shape of her front teeth. Porcelain Veneers can give us beautiful and natural looking teeth.

First, she went through one session of Zoom whitening so we could shade match the porcelain to her new white smile. We took pictures and made diagnostic models of her mouth to create the new proposed design. She wore temporary veneers of the proposed design for about three weeks while the final porcelain veneers were being fabricated.  We placed four Emax Veneers HT BL2. We love the results.
